Why people think Davido bought ‘Aye’ from me-Runtown

You know it’s been alleged  that Davido bought his song “Aye” from fast rising act,Runtown..Davido denied he buys songs and has insisted he writes all his songs…However, the similarity between Aye and Run town’s smash hit Gallardo,which also features Davido is hard to miss.He told Nigerian Tribune
“Davido has had a number of interviews where he addressed how the song came about. So if you want to learn more about Aye ask David or read his interviews“The first time I heard about that, I felt it was nobody’s business to raise issues like that. I know we are in Africa and people like to ask questions, but it is certainly not my business.You cannot clarify from me. Maybe the song sounds like something I would have done myself, perhaps that is why people are saying so,”
It will be recalled that Davido while fielding questions about “Aye” from AvanteTV, stated, “Runtown and TSpice work great together. TSpice sent me a couple of beats and We recorded like three songs and everyone was just like, this is the one. So we shot the video naturally. Everything about me is natural.”When asked if Runtown wrote the jam “Aye”, he revealed, “No. But the producer got the beat’s check (he got paid). He (TSpice) is a talented producer.“
The news item which information Nigeria, a widely read online entertainment news portal titled Davido: “Runtown didn’t write ‘Aye’, I wrote it myself” was posted on the website on the 5th of july.
Davido has been accused severally of buying some of his hit songs from people. We don’t know why that is an issue considering the fact that some other artistes do it, not many artistes write their songs themselves.

Due to the success of his hit single “Aye”, there have also been many speculations that he bought the song from fast rising singer, Runtown.

Davido has denied buying the Aye song and says he writes all his songs.

People now claim that there is a huge similarity between Aye and Run town’s smash hit Gallardo,which also features Davido.

When asked in a recent interview if he wrote the song, Runtown said:
