Big Brother Africa winner Namibian Dellish Matthews and her business partner, Profysen Muluti, will officially open the restaurant’s doors to the public on the 19th of August.
THE brainchild of Big Brother Africa winner turned entrepreneur, Dillish Mathews, and her business partner, Profysen Muluti, Bolster is the newest and swankiest restaurant in town, serving cuisine and class in equal measures.
Opened in true Hollywood fashion at a private launch on Saturday, the eatery was filled to capacity with friends, family and business associates of Dillish and Muluti, who eagerly took in the posh atmosphere and fine dining experience at the cosy launch party.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and luckily I found someone who had a mutual feeling about opening a restaurant,” Dillish says about how Bolster was conceived.
At the launch, it was clear that Dillish and Muluti were both excited and nervous about their new venture.
They are however proud of Bolster and promise to give a great experience for all who visit the restaurant. “You are guaranteed fresh and good food, excellent service and a great ambience,” said Dillish.
She adds that the Bolster chefs are one of a kind and are all eager to make the most scrumptious dishes with the freedom they are allowed in the kitchen. “I think this is the first time they [chefs] work with owners who allow them to own the kitchen,” says Dillish.
Bolster is situated on the upper floor of Town Square shopping mall in Windhoek’s town centre. With lush decor in mostly matte black and white, Bolster offers an intimate dining experience.
There’s a fully stocked bar for those who want to pop in for a quick Martini, formal seating areas for the serious diner as well as more private seating by the terrace that overlooks the hustle and bustle of Post Street Mall.
The restaurant offers a wide range of food including traditional Namibian favourites and international cuisine such as Portuguese food. Lunch and light meals are available in the afternoons while a fine dining experience awaits diners as from 17h00.
Doors open daily from 07h30 for either a hearty breakfast or a vegan option.
Closing time for this metropolitan eating spot is 01h00.
Bolster will officially open its doors to the public on Wednesday.
