It was a day filled with blessings, joy, music and love as Nigerian music maestro Cobhams Emmanuel Asuquo wed Ojuolape Veronica Olukanni on the 2nd of December 2010.
For Cobhams and Ojuola, it was truly a blessing to celebrate their union surrounded by their close family and friends. Their marriage was solemnized at the Redeemed Christian Church of God – The King is Coming Parish at the Redemption Camp. The General Overseer of the RCCG – Pastor Enoch Adeboye along with his wife were present at the ceremony and played a major role in the proceedings as they prayed for the couple and helped usher them into married life.
After their church ceremony, Cobhams and Ojuola proceeded to their wedding reception at the Redemption Resort. The theme of the reception was “Pray, Eat, Love & Dance” and they did that and more! Ojuola reminiscent of a Victorian-era princess in her elegant lace wedding dress and Coby perfectly complemented his wife in his three-piece grey-blue wedding suit.
It was an absolutely beautiful event, the reception hall was decked in orange, silver and white, with twinkling fairy lights and beautiful swaths which created an intimate yet festive ambiance. As expected, music played a major role in the proceedings; there were performances from artistes including Bez and Timi Dakolo serenaded the couple during their first dance. Cobhams and Ojuola’s first dance was thrilling and romantic, they held each close and savoured this special moment – then Cobhams twirled his bride and then whipped her up into his arms! It was a thoroughly romantic moment.
